Bellevue Beats MNU

Box Score Stats | All 5 starters scored in double figures, but MNU could not stop NAIA D2 #14 Bellevue in a 98-85 loss on Friday. The Pioneers held a 4-2 lead in the opening minutes, but would never lead again as Bellevue held a double-digit lead for most of the game. The Bruins shot a blistering 70% in the first half and ended up shooting 63% for the game. MNU was out-rebounded 38-19.

Luke Thomas led the Pioneer offense with 24 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Nate Launius recorded a career-high 20 points on 7-9 shooting, including 4-6 from beyond the arc. David Clark had 11 points. Conner Langrehr had 10 points. Nick Syrie had 10 points, 7 assists, and 2 steals. And Brandon Newton had 8 points and 5 steals off the bench.

MNU is 10-4. The next game is Saturday at NAIA D2 #22 College of the Ozarks (11-3) at 4:00.
