Breanna Oddo gave MNU an advantage with a tough save on Baker's third shot, deflecting a high shot off the cross bar and out.
Kelli Reid followed with a goal to give the Pioneers a 3-2 lead, and Baker followed with a wide shot to put MNU on the brink. After MNU's next shot went off the cross bar, Oddo punched the ensuing Baker shot away to clinch the shootout and advance the Pioneers.
MNU is 12-3-4 (3-2-2 HAAC). The next match is at 1-seed Benedictine (10-5-2, 5-2) on Wednesday at 7. The winner of that match will play for the tourney title. The winner of the tourney gets an automatic bid to Nationals.
