MNU thrilled the home crowd with a 3-1 victory over Tabor on Saturday. The Pioneers controlled the Blue Jays in the first set and won 25-19, but Tabor turned it around to take the second set and started strongly in the third. But a great hustle play led to a point to turn around the set and propel MNU to a dominant finish. A strong Tabor spike led to 3 desperate attempts by the Pioneers to keep the ball alive, and
Rosan Rivera launched the ball over the net from deep to keep the play going. MNU finally got control of the point and finished it off with a strong kill. The play ignited the crowd and MNU never looked back. The Pioneers won the set 25-15 and kept the momentum into the 4th set, winning 25-13 to take the match.
Molly Brewster had 12 kills, 5 aces, and 10 digs. Luke Gomes had 11 kills.
Linjun Ji added 10 kills and 10 digs.

The Pioneers are 4-2. The next matches are at a tourney in Costa Mesa, CA before coming back home on September 11 to start conference play vs. Missouri Valley.
