Luke Thomas' third double double of the season led the Pioneers to a 76-57 victory over Grand View on Friday. The Pioneers were crowned champs of the Jeff Uphaus Memorial Classic with the victory.
MNU started the game with a 9-3 run, but Grand View fought back to take a 1-point lead at the 10-minute mark of the first half. Over the next 8 minutes, the Pioneers went on an 18-4 run to grab a 14-point lead and take control of the game. The 14-point lead was extended to 25 in the opening minutes of the second half, and MNU cruised to victory.
Luke Thomas led the Pioneers with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists.
Conner Langrehr had 17 points and a career-high 4 blocks.
