Box Score Stats | The Pioneers jumped out to an 8-0 lead and cruised to a 96-64 victory over Central Bible College in the opener of the Jeff Uphaus Memorial Classic on Thursday. MNU shot 62% in the first half while holding Central Bible to 28% to build a 22-point lead at halftime. The second-half lead got as high as 33 and the Pioneers created turnovers and fast break opportunities throughout the game.
Rustin Dowd had a team-high 16 points.
Luke Thomas had 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks.
Conner Langrehr added 11 points and 2 blocks.
Jason Garretson had a game-high 9 assists off the bench. And
Nick Syrie had 7 assists, 6 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals.
The Pioneers are 4-0. The next game is Friday at 8:00 vs. Grand View (2-2) to close out the Uphaus Tourney.
