JBU started the scoring with a 3-pointer, but that was the only lead they had. MNU scored the next 11 points and maintained a 3-possession lead throughout the half. A 13-3 MNU run to open the second half put the Pioneers up by 20 and put the game out of reach.

The Pioneers came out hot and scored the game's first 6 points en route to an 8-1 lead. RSU scored 11 unanswered points, however, and the first half was tight throughout. RSU took control of the second half and built an 18-point with 5 minutes remaining. The Pioneers made a game of it with a 16-4 run to cut the deficit to 6 with a minute to play, but RSU made their free throws down the stretch to close out the game.
Jacob French's 26 points was one shy of his career high, and he tied his career high with 10 rebounds.
Rustin Dowd added 19 points and 3 assists.
