The Pioneers found themselves in a deep hole early and struggled to find rhythm in a 32-point loss at Evangel on Thursday. After 10 minutes MNU trailed 23-4 and never got into the game. The Evangel lead ballooned into the 30's in the final minutes of the game and the Pioneers fell to 7-10 in conference play.
Kiley Herold was the only Pioneer in double figures as she scored 15 points, grabbed 9 rebounds, and blocked 2 shots.
The Pioneers are 9-18 (7-10 HAAC). The next game is Saturday at home vs. Lindenwood at 2:00.

Conner Langrehr's career-high 38 points was not enough to overcome a relentless Evangel squad in MNU's 96-85 loss in Springfield on Thursday. The Pioneers exploded out of the gate and threatened to blow out the Crusaders. Langrehr led the Pioneers with 15 points in the first 7 minutes as MNU jumped out to a 22-5 lead. But Evangel adjusted their defense and fought back with a 15-4 run to take a 1-point lead with 3 minutes left in the half.
The Crusaders jumped on the Pioneers early in the second half and took control of the game. A 9-0 run in the opening minutes put MNU in a hole from which they could not recover. The lead got as high as 14 as MNU struggled to defend Evangel, and the Crusaders escaped with a 96-86 victory.
Conner Langrehr had a career-high 38 points on 15-26 shooting (5-9 3FG).
Rustin Dowd had 21 points, 6 assists, and 2 steals.
Keith McCullough added 15 points and 8 rebounds. And
Andrew Crotty grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds.
