The Pioneers traveled to Graceland and lost 75-68 to the Yellowjackets on Saturday. MNU led by as many as 7 points in the first half, but Graceland cut the deficit to 3 by halftime. The Pioneers came out strong in the second half and built a 9-point lead with 17 minutes remaining, but Graceland chipped away and finally tied the game with just under 6 minutes to play. The Yellowjackets led by 4 with 2 minutes left when
Kassidy Ritchel's 3-pointer cut the lead to 1. But Graceland hit free throws down the stretch and won by 7.
Kassidy Ritchel had a career-high 24 points on 10-12 shooting.
Daria Sprew added 13 points. Shade'qua Longus had 10 points. And
Navia Palu had a game-high 6 assists.
The Pioneers are 6-5 (1-1 HAAC). The next game is Tuesday at home vs. Columbia College (7-3)at 7:00.
