Volleyball Splits on Saturday, Winning Streak Ends at 10

The Pioneers defeated John Brown University but fell to Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday. The loss to OBU ends the 10-game Pioneer winning streak and put their record at 18-6.

In the match vs. JBU, the Pioneers controlled the first two sets and won 25-14 and 25-21. JBU made adjustments, however, and took sets 2 and 3. The Pioneers regained control and handled the final set 15-10. Four Pioneers reached double figures in kills: Megan Hayes (12), Linjun Ji (11), Anna Nostrant (11), and Molly Brewster (10). Kimmie Kreeger had 29 assists. And Laura Hamblin had 13 digs.

Oklahoma Baptist defeated MNU 3 sets to 1, and all the victories were convincing. The Pioneers fell by scores of 13-25, 25-20, 12-25, & 18-25. Linjun Ji and Anna Nostrant had 10 kills apiece. Kimmie Kreeger had 21 assists. And Laura Hamblin (17), Molly Brewster (12), and Ji (12) had double digit digs.

The Pioneers are 18-6 (5-0 HAAC). The next match is is Friday at the Clark (IA) invitational.
