The Pioneers defeated John Brown University but fell to Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday. The loss to OBU ends the 10-game Pioneer winning streak and put their record at 18-6.
In the match vs. JBU, the Pioneers controlled the first two sets and won 25-14 and 25-21. JBU made adjustments, however, and took sets 2 and 3. The Pioneers regained control and handled the final set 15-10. Four Pioneers reached double figures in kills:
Megan Hayes (12),
Linjun Ji (11),
Anna Nostrant (11), and
Molly Brewster (10).
Kimmie Kreeger had 29 assists. And
Laura Hamblin had 13 digs.
Oklahoma Baptist defeated MNU 3 sets to 1, and all the victories were convincing. The Pioneers fell by scores of 13-25, 25-20, 12-25, & 18-25.
Linjun Ji and
Anna Nostrant had 10 kills apiece.
Kimmie Kreeger had 21 assists. And
Laura Hamblin (17),
Molly Brewster (12), and Ji (12) had double digit digs.
