Brenton Bell's 30 points led the Pioneers in a 96-77 victory over Graceland on Thursday. Five players reached double figures as MNU moved to 4th place in the HAAC. The game was close for most of the first half, but an 11-2 run to close the half put the Pioneers up 13. Graceland never got closer than 7 in the second half, and the Pioneers cruised to victory. NAIA leading scorer Jewell Carter (24.0 ppg) was held in check until the game was out of hand, and the Graceland star guard finished with 23.
Bell had a game-high 30 points and 5 assists.
Ben Swinger had 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Rustin Dowd had 14 points.
Vince Thompkins had 12 points and 4 assists.
Lukas Weigel had 11 points and 7 rebounds off the bench. And
Andrew Crotty was solid with 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals.
The Pioneers are 15-9 (9-5 HAAC). The next game is Saturday at MO Valley (16-7, 8-5) at 4:00 PM.
