The Pioneers defeated Baker on Senior Night and clinched a spot in the HAAC Conference Tournament. MNU won the first match easily, 25-16, but Baker came back in the second match with a 25-18 victory. The Pioneers responded with a 25-21 victory in Set 3, and rode that momentum into the fourth set and pulled off a 25-22 victory to take the match 3-1.
Anna Nostrant (12), Megan Hayes (12), and Ashley Fantazia (10) recorded double-digit kills. Defending HAAC Setter of the Week, Melissa Anaya, had 39 assists. Molly Brewster had 3 aces and 12 digs. And Hayes and Nostrant had 5 blocks apiece.
The Pioneers are 10-18 (5-4 HAAC). The final regular season match is Tuesday, November 2 at Graceland (10-14, 4-5) at 7:00 PM.
