Pioneer Women's Soccer Team Shut Out

MNU played the second game of their road trip at Oklahoma City University on Saturday. The Pioneers came out confident from the win on Friday. The game started off going back and forth with both teams having chances on goal. OCU struck first on long shot from the right side. "We just made too many mistakes in this game," said coach Orton. "When you give a team like OCU the chances we gave them, they should score. If we were given the same chances I am very confident we would have been ahead in the game."

MNU came back and hit the cross bar minutes after the goal , but could never find the back of the net. Another three mistakes lead to three more goals by OCU. "It is tough to lose like that, but I think we learned a valuable lesson that we just can not make that many mistakes in games vs good teams," Orton said.

MNU is back in action at home on Friday September 11th at 3pm. The loss puts MNU to 1-1 on the season.
