The Pioneers are 4-0 after a 67-55 victory over College of the Ozarks on Saturday. MNU trailed 14-13 after 10 minutes, but a 12-4 run put them into the lead for good. The Pioneer defense held the Bobcats to 38% shooting overall, 14% from beyond the arc. And despite making just 15-28 free throws, the Pioneers held off Ozarks in the final minutes and remained undeated.
Brenton Bell led the way with 22 points and 6 assists. Ben Swinger added 14 points and 6 rebounds. Rustin Dowd had 10 points and 5 assists. And Andrew Crotty contributed 3 points, 4 assists, and 8 rebounds.
MNU is 4-0. The next game is Thursday the 19th at Southwest Baptist at 7 pm.
