WSOC - MNU came off two solid wins to play conference foe Culver-Stockton College. MNU started out pounding the Culver goal, but was never never able to finish in the 1st half of the game. "Culver played their game plan really well," said Coach Orton. "They packed the box with all 11 players and made it really difficult for us. In the 2nd half we made some adjustments were able to score." MNU's first goal came from
Alyssa Howard.
Savannah Lamar played a cross into the box and Alyssa was able to get her head on the ball for the first goal. About 8 minutes later Rebeccan McAndrew got a blocked shot and dribbled around two players and scored the 2nd goal of the game. "It is always tough to play on the road in our conference and it was no different today. I was very proud of our girls today, they came out in the 2nd half and played our game plan and were able to get the win." Orton said.
The win put MNU 2-0-0 in Conference play and 5-4-1 on the year. MNU's next game is at home on Tuesday at 2pm vs Baker University.
