Demerick Chancellor fumble at the 50-yard line and running it all the way back to take a 7-0 lead. MNU answered in the second quarter when
Tyler Herl hooked up with
Juan Redmon for a 15-yard touchdown to tie the game. But the Ravens countered by running the ensuing kickoff all the way back for a touchdown. Elmore's first touchdown catch tied the game at 14 on a 3rd-and-9 bomb for 73 yards. A Raven field goal completed the first-half scoring and the teams went to the locker room with Benedictine leading 17-14.
The second half was all Pioneers.
Ashford Johnson completed a 10-play, 70-yard drive with a 1-yard touchdown run to give MNU the lead. After a Raven three-and-out, Elmore's second touchdown catch (32 yards) extended the lead. The Pioneer defense held firm again, forcing another three-and-out and forcing another quick punt on the next drive. Elmore's third touchdown (63 yards) put the Pioneers up 35-17 and iced the game. A
Marvin Hill touchdown was sandwiched between two late Raven scores, resulting in the 42-30 final.
