Former Pioneer point guard Trey Brown is in his first season as an assistant coach with MNU. Brown comes to MNU from Hayden Catholic High School in Topeka, where he led them to the State Tournament in his first year as head coach. In 2022-23 Brown was the head coach at Cair Paravel Latin High School, where they won the program’s first ever substate game.
 
As a player, Trey was the point guard for the Pioneers from 2018-2022. Brown was a three time Heart of America All Conference selection (two-time Honorable Mention and one time 2nd team). Brown led the Heart in assists per game twice in his career. The Pioneers made the National Tournament Brown’s sophomore season.
 
Brown graduated from Mid America Nazarene in 2022 with a degree in Criminal Justice. He lives in Olathe, Kansas.
