Emily Almodova returned to MNU sports medicine in September 2021. She previously worked here from fall 2016 to spring 2018 as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer. During that time, she worked with the football and baseball teams. 

Emily obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Athletic Training from Wichita State University. She then pursued a Master of Science in Management while being a GA athletic trainer at MNU.

Between her time as a GA and current position, Emily worked as an athletic trainer for Overland Park Regional Medical Center with various youth sports organizations as well as a local high school and middle school, Heritage Christian Academy.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys watching sports and watching her son grow up! She resides in Olathe, Kan. with her husband, Matt, newborn son born in May 2022, Makai, and dog Duke.
