MNU dual-threat quarterback
Jabari Harris has signed to continue his playing days in Europe 1st Division for the Porvoon Butchers in Finland. For the Pioneers last Fall, Harris was second on the team in rushing with 37.3 yards per game and 5 touchdowns on just 34 carries. He averaged 9.9 yards per carry. He was also 20-34 passing with 4 touchdowns. He was named 2nd-Team All-Conference for his efforts.
The opportunity came when MNU Assistant Coach Mario Felix heard from his high school coach. "I was contacted through my high school coach who coaches over in France now," says Felix. "So I decided to let the seniors know about the opportunity to play ball for a few more years, and also see the world at the same time."
Harris will share an apartment in Porvoo, Finland with another American player and as part of his contract will have a car, free housing, insurance, and other perks. He will also be the Offensive Coordinator of a youth team in Porvoo as Europe tries to expand and build the brand of American Football.
