MNU Women's soccer opened up conference play this weekend vs. Lindenwood University out of St.Charles Missouri. MNU started off the game very strong. After 1 minute and 30 seconds MNU was on the board.
Rebecca McAndrew took the ball around midfield and dribbled through 6-7 LU players and hit a shot at the top of the 18-yard box and gave MNU a lead it would not relinquish. "It was exactly the kind of start we needed," said Coach Orton. "The HAAC is so tough and every game is so important, and to get an early lead is always great." The game went back and forth with possession and shots coming from each team. But, that was all MNU needed to secure the first conference win of the season.
The win puts MNU at 3-4-1 on the year. MNU's next game is at home vs Kansas Weslyan University on Wednesday at 3pm.
