Josh began his cheerleading career on a dare. He was recruited to play football for the University of Kansas, and while playing football he was challenged with a proposition. Josh took the challenge and a spot on the KU cheer squad was his. While cheering for 4 years at KU, he learned all of his partner stunts, pyramids, baskets, and tumbling skills. In his years after college, Josh got the cheer bug and continued to coach high school kids to prepare them for college tryouts. He met Jessica through cheerleading and they began coaching high school and junior high together. They were married in 2009 and live in Kansas City, Kansas. Josh works full time as a Kansas City fire fighter.
